2-D: Gargoyle Reflection. March 6, 2013
1. I like the pronounced facial features of my gargoyle because it makes it look more realistic.
2. I could have done a better job getting it done on time because it was late.
3. My project is serene. He is at peace with himself and the world. It is an indian type man with guaged ears, a braided mohawk, and pronouced cheek bones. His mouth is set in a grim line and he is emotionless.
4. It's about the size of an average grapefruit. It is some-what egg shaped, but formed into a face and such. I did it like that because it's a human.
5. I haven't done the colors yet, but they will be natural colors. Tan, black, and maybe a few pops of color. I chose these colors because he is emotionless, so I don't want him too bright or too dark.
6. I learned that even though it didn't turn out how I planned, it still turned out cool. Art is full of serendipity, so use it as a tool.
7. First I made two pinch pots annd then smoothed them together to make a sphere. Then I smoothed down the cheek bones, pulled a nose out of it, pushed in the empty eye sockets, and added some lips. After that I was going to try to make it into Medusa, but that didn't work out, so I put a braid down the middle of the head and added ears with guaged ears.
8. Yes, I really liked this project. It started out difficult, but then I got the hang of it.
